The “I Can” Initiative offers 6 week programs designed to increase social interaction, learning and development for children and young adults as well as their siblings. They include:

I Can Learn Intermediate

Ages (8 – 15 years) The ‘I CAN’ Learn program is an initiative that is specifically developed for children with a wide array of learning disabilities. The ‘I CAN’ Learn is designed to inspire creativity, curiosity and encourage hidden talents with a variety of fun, interactive classes. This initiative has a collection of great experienced professionals, musicians, teachers as the instructors and guides, offering not only skill, but extensive experience as well. Learning to unlock both the creative potential and logic thinking is the focus of this intermediate initiative. Parents play an important role in the development and growth of their children and as a grassroots initiative we encourage positive community participation This program has a great success rate.

I Can Succeed

Young Adults In each workshop the focus will be on learning about an occupation first hand, from a professional that is qualified and has experience in their field of expertise. We all know and understand that there are many boundaries and limitations set on children with disabilities, and by the time the reach young adulthood they are stuck between believing they are not good enough or unable to fit into the secondary education / work force. The I CAN programs encourages parents to participate in the initiative as well. We understand the importance of following through with thoughts and inspirations and often times that means after a class or during the next few days. Parents play a crucial role in developing plans and setting career goals that will allow each child to go where they want to go.

I Can Create Junior

4 – 8 years old Offers both Art and Science for simultaneous learning, inspiring both sides of the brain and a sense of discovery. Social play, outdoor play, story time, experiments and creative exploration. Fun and learning are the words that describe this great ‘I can’ junior initiative. Parents play an important role in the development and growth of their children and as a grassroots initiative we encourage participation.
